Welcome to RC.

Re: yesterday's edits to Run-length encoding, I noticed that you marked your summary as "may need some polishing". Just a bit of a head's-up, the next time you do this (add code that may not be "perfect" or whatever) you might want to instead use the {{Needs-review}} template. That way, it gets explicitly marked on the page as needing a look-over. This will draw attention to it, in case you don't get around to finishing/perfecting/polishing/whatever-ing it, and hopefully someone will review it, and if necessary finish it.

(If you do this, remember to remove {{Needs-review}} once you're done with the example.) -- Erik Siers 13:02, 20 November 2011 (UTC)

Well, there's also {{Improve}}: "Use this message box template when an example meets the task requirements, but could be improved in some way." It still gets added to Category:Examples needing attention, but doesn't DEMAND ATTENTION NOW!!! :-)
As a side note, it's considered polite to sign your posts to talk pages (only). At the end of what you've written, add ~~~~ (4 tildes); this will automagically add your username, a link to your userpage, and a timestamp (but not the dashes; I sign with "-- ~~~~"). -- Erik Siers 06:33, 21 November 2011 (UTC)
