QuickBasic 7.1??? They stopped QuickBasic at 4.5: wp:QuickBASIC. Where are you getting 7.1? --Mwn3d 17:13, 7 August 2009 (UTC)

QuickBASIC Extended 7.1, a.k.a. Professional Development System, which is usually grouped together with QB45 in the circles I frequent (Usenet and such). From the Wikipedia QB entry: "The Basic PDS 7.x version of the IDE was called QuickBASIC Extended (QBX) [...]" The PDS help file (and a few places in the program itself) refers to the program as "QuickBASIC Extended" and QBX. QB45 vs QBX71 are mostly compatible; AFAIK QBX can compile any QB45 program (although the reverse isn't true).
In fact, I just now looked, and on opening QBX, the "status bar" on the bottom says this: "Microsoft (R) QuickBASIC Extended v7.1 (C) Copyright Microsoft Corp, 1982-1990" -- Eriksiers 17:49, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
