Minor edit

First off, let me thank you for your many interesting contributions.

I'm not an admin, but I thought I'd mention this: you tend to mark your code submissions as minor edits. A minor edit is really something inconsequential, like fixing a detail or a typo; an entirely new entry should not be marked as such. Some users filter out minor edits from their recent changes list and wouldn't notice your quite substantial additions. Fwend (talk) 11:53, 19 March 2016 (UTC)

I will take care in the future to uncheck the minor edit option. Thanks for letting me know. Trizen (talk) 12:08, 19 March 2016 (UTC)
This sounds like you have checked the minor edit option by default. You may want to change this under "Preferences" - "Editing" - "Mark all edits minor by default". --Andreas Perstinger (talk) 12:28, 19 March 2016 (UTC)

'Chess position' task clean-up

I confess that I have been taking the 'laziness' part of 'Laziness, impatience, hubris' Perl motto a bit to literally. From now on I will make my posted code strict-compliant. Should be trying to set a good example here on RC after all... --SqrtNegInf (talk) 18:45, 6 February 2019 (UTC)

The File Input/Output example written in Side appears to to have a platform dependency regarding line endings

The File Input/Output example written in Side appears to to have a platform dependency regarding line endings.

I created (on MacOS) an ./input.txt file (with two or more lines);
ran the Sidef script;
compare ./input.txt and ./output.txt;
they differ, apparently ignoring UNIX-style line-endings.
