Edit notes

Hi KenS, Welcome to Rosettacode and thanks for your contributions. When you make an edit to a page, it is much appreciated if you put a brief summary of what was edited / why you made the edit in the (appropriately named) Summary field below the editing textarea. It helps other interested parties find edits and helps with the oversight process. Thanks again. --Thundergnat (talk) 11:37, 15 August 2016 (UTC)

(Hmm. Feel like I am repeating myself.) Hi KenS, When you make an edit to a page, it is much appreciated if you put a brief summary of what was edited / why you made the edit in the (appropriately named) Summary field below the editing textarea. It helps other interested parties find edits and helps with the oversight process. When interested parties check the Special:RecentChanges page, it is helpful to be able to scan the edit summaries to see what edits they may be interested in. If you go to the Editing tab on the user preferences page you can select the radio-button "Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary (or the default undo summary)" to give you a reminder. Thanks. --Thundergnat (talk) 16:15, 29 September 2022 (UTC)
