From Rosetta Code

Hi,
the original Compiler/... tasks were written by Ed Davis. Anyone is free to add tasks as they see fit.
I wasn't sure what you meant by the "sample language" before, however I see you do mean the language the other Compiler tasks implement.

I'd say if you want to do it, add it! It sounds like a good task to me and more in line with what people wanted mine to be :).

Maybr you could do it in stages, like Ed did with the original Compiler/... tasks, e.g., have a basic file inclusion task, an add macros to the pre-processor task followed by a conditional compilation pre-processor - or perhaps not - whatever you think best.

Please be careful when modifying task markup

Hi. I've had to go in and revert most of the changes you made to the various Compiler sub tasks. The task header markup needs to have a very specific format or they won't be detected, indexed, or counted as being tasks. Your changes prevented all of those. I appreciate the enthusiasm but would also appreciate a little more caution when modifying structure. Thanks. --Thundergnat (talk) 02:01, 26 May 2022 (UTC)
What about the change to add the preprocessor to the references? Was that okay? --Jwells1213 (talk) 04:25, 26 May 2022 (UTC)
