The Raspberry Pi is a very affordable, amazingly versatile, credit card–sized, single-board computer developed in the United Kingdom by the Raspberry Pi Foundation with the intention to promote the teaching of basic computer science in schools and developing countries. A handful of different models have been designed since its inception in early 2012.
