Blanked page. Why?

User:Petelomax, Why did you blank the page? It was more informative than a blank page could possibly be.

I simply didn't think it was useful anymore. At the time (16 months ago) I probably didn't realise it was still used on Generalised_floating_point_addition#Phix, Numerical_and_alphabetical_suffixes#Phix, Pathological_floating_point_problems#Phix, and Suffixation_of_decimal_numbers#Phix. I have no problem with you or anyone else recovering that text from the page history, as long as you don't leave it as "here is a list" followed by nothing, as it was, rather than (say) the set above. --Pete Lomax (talk) 15:25, 17 January 2021 (UTC)
PS If you are going to ask someone a question, it is probably generally best to do so on their talk page, I might not have still been watching this page. --Pete Lomax (talk)
You're right about the communication protocol. It's been a while since I've used a Wikimedia wiki.
I need to understand the best way to cause the various use references to this page to be automagically generated. Normally one just places a Category link on the page and there's a utility that regular runs and adds all the new Category links to the Category page, right? Since the task pages, all either have a list of implementations on the page or separate pages for the implementations, where does one put the Category link? In the task or in the task implementation? Or does it matter? --GarveyPatrickD (talk) 19:27, 17 January 2021 (UTC)
Dunno. I kludged a few {{libheader|bigatom}} back when this page was a sub-page of Phix, and now I remember it was when I killed off the last of those that I blanked the now "useless" page -- and I don't really want the [[Category:Phix]] bit back. --Pete Lomax (talk) 01:18, 18 January 2021 (UTC)
