Licensing
Hi Jason and welcome.<br> <strike>I noted your comment "Any code I release here can be used by anyone for any purpose, but I don't recommend it.", and would just like to say that we welcome contributions, and when you edit a page you will see info at the bottom on the license it is accepted under. You had the good sense to get a user account on Rosetta Code so must be interested in programming and I suspect your code either isn't useless or will get better real soon</strike> :-)

Have fun, --Paddy3118 05:04, 3 June 2010 (UTC)

: I suspect that was just there to say that their contributions are available under a more liberal license (something I value and do myself) and the usual »use at your own risk«. I doubt it was meant to subvert RC's licensing policy. —Johannes Rössel 20:35, 3 June 2010 (UTC)

That's precisely my intent --- the licensing guidelines for RC mentioned that it was okay to dual-license the code, and I intended this as an alternate license. The "but I don't recommend it" was just a tongue-in-cheek disclaimer of liability; obviously, if I'm willing to put my code up in public, I think it's unlikely to bring the whole interwebs to a screaming halt.

: As I remarked in IRC:
<pre>21:35 <@shortcircuit> Wow. Looks like someone read the copyright policy. :) http://rosettacode.org/wiki/User:JasonFruit</pre> :)--Michael Mol 23:16, 3 June 2010 (UTC)

I hope you don't mind if I take that as a compliment. :) JasonFruit
