: I discused this in private and public with the bticino people and they don't seem to bother. this example also shows how attempting to do crypto by yourself when you're not a cryptographer ends up being pretty pointless (so is the ip-based limitations). the code is now used by a number of applications that connect to bticino gateways, and seems useful to a lot of people, in particular it is used by mobile applications that need to access the gateway from 3g networks. --[[User:Sxpert|Sxpert]] ([[User talk:Sxpert|talk]]) 23:59, 15 April 2014 (UTC)

Do we want to keep this page?

This isn't a (draft) task, is it? It looks like the algorithm shouldn't be publicly available (from http://www.myuremote.com/website/how-to-configure-myuremote-for-bticino-myhome-home-control/ ): "BTicino has chosen a rather strange password policy. Their own tools make a connection using a password. However, the password protocol is not publicly documented." --Andreas Perstinger (talk) 19:50, 15 April 2014 (UTC)
