:: The particular case I recall occurred at work some time ago when trying to scale up drawing operation coordinates on a raster display. Not quite real life, sadly. If this task should renamed to 'map range of reals' to keep things simple(r), that'd be fine by me. (I wonder what that does to n-dimension and imaginary numbers, where n is greater than 1.) BTW, did you see my note on uses from? --Michael Mol 16:48, 25 November 2010 (UTC)
::: I did see them. For tcllib, I made the target component be a string SMW property instead of a page (using the parameter to property on the property's page), which makes sense anyway since I don't plan to make a page for every component package in Tcllib (too damn many; CPAN would have the identical problem). Or were you talking about something else and I've misunderstood? :-) –Donal Fellows 22:15, 25 November 2010 (UTC)
:::: I got a similar maintenance reaction for Java. I wonder if there's a way to automate that kind of maintenance, or toggle the page/string option. Maybe uses from should use the string property instead. --Michael Mol 22:26, 25 November 2010 (UTC)
