::I'm not sure whether that is the objective of rosettacode, because this is a chrestomathy. If the task has a good implementation that can be achieved through the use of operators, then we should be able to use them here. This could possibly be a challenge for a programming challenge site, but I don't know of one off hand. Alternatively, we could possibly make the restrictions optional. ::: The restrictions were really part of the original intent and not an optional add on. That is the intent is to see ways of dealing with things a bit out of the ordinary. I would argue that there are other puzzles and challenges on the site and that limitations are not counter to the intent of the site.
