In the 1991 movie &nbsp; "Terminator 2: Judgement Day", &nbsp; the character &nbsp; ''John Connor'' &nbsp; (played by Edward Furlong) &nbsp; used some kind of electric device which hooked up (illegally) to an ATM to simulate the pressing of all the possible 4-digit PIN codes &nbsp; (presumably a &nbsp; '''de Bruijn''' &nbsp; sequence) &nbsp; which enabled him to steal the cash that the ATM dispensed (presumably a stolen or "borrowed" credit card).
 
Later, &nbsp; that same character also used the same device to open a door that had a PIN-code type lock at Cyberdyne's research facility.
