I think deletion is a bit extreme. Certainly this task is enormous. I vote that rather than delete the task, simplify it to "checkmate with a rook and a king versus king" with a fixed starting position. I have created some sub-tasks, and specified 'basic' and 'advanced' options for each of them. This should hopefully spur some people to implement some of them as I think they are quite manageable (at the basic level anyway). I might add implementations later.
