However, 1752 is not really correct: the switch from the Julian to the Gregorian calendar was initially done in october 1582. Some countries switched later. There is also a [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proleptic_Gregorian_calendar Proleptic Gregorian calendar], which "continues" the Gregorian calendar in both directions, past and future, without any reference to the Julian calendar.
