Rosetta Code is a wiki that aspires to do for programming what the Rosetta Stone did for Egyptian hieroglyphics. The concept was inspired by this list of "Hello, World" programs, and the realization that "Hello World", on its own, tells a new programmer very little about the language they're using.
Rosetta Code was created in January 2007 by Mike Mol.
