The thumbnails are generated ImageMagick. We've had problems with IM in the past (that wound up taking down the whole site due to queued thumbnailing requests; See the Dragon Curve animation.), so be gentle with it... --Michael Mol 02:52, 22 January 2010 (UTC)

Sure. I was having a problem with software that generated PNGs that some programs could read and others couldn't. Got it all sorted though; this is now a fully opaque image and produces a good result to the transform. –Donal Fellows 09:02, 22 January 2010 (UTC)
