{{language}}Lotusscript is a compiled language very similar to [[Microsoft]]'s [[Visual Basic]]. It is used in IBM's Lotus Notes and Lotus Domino. The syntax is similar, but the class structure is very different - most of the classes built in to Lotus Notes are specific to Lotus Notes only. Lotuscript was introduced into Lotus Notes at version 4. Lotus Notes also supports [[Java]] as a scripting language, though the classes supplied with Java are not capable of as much UI interaction as the Lotusscript version.
