I'm working on modernizing Rosetta Code's infrastructure. Starting with communications. Please accept this time-limited open invite to RC's Slack.. --Michael Mol (talk) 20:59, 30 May 2020 (UTC)

From Rosetta Code

I realize you've been around for a while, but you might find this interesting.

Welcome to Rosetta Code! I'm Mike, and I noticed you created an account.

Some quick things you should be aware of:

Template:Mylang Helps you show what languages you're familiar with, and helps us become aware of skills with languages we haven't seen.
Category:Unimplemented tasks by language A place to find tasks missing solutions in various languages.
Blogs, twitter, facebook... We have them, and are interested in yours.
Special:Webchat Logs you into #rosettacode on the Freenode IRC channel. Not usually the most active communications medium, but occasionally helpful. It's logged at http://irclog.perlgeek.de/rosettacode/today.
Rosetta Code:Village Pump A general Q/A and discussion area.
Rosetta Code:Finances For most of Rosetta Code's history, expenses have been paid out of my pocket. I can't afford that much longer, and so you can see the state of Rosetta Code's finances, and how you may help. If you enjoy or are excited about the site, please consider reading through it.

Sorry for the boilerplate; it can be a bit difficult giving an individual greeting to each person. If you post information about your technical interests and background, I'll probably read it. If you already have put that kind of information on your user page, I probably already have; I'm always interested in how people do and can benefit from Rosetta Code. --Michael Mol 02:45, 30 August 2010 (UTC)

Ordered words‎ words[edit]

Hi, Any chance on running your Ordered words‎ solution with the stated dictionary and updating your output? Thanks, --Paddy3118 05:33, 27 November 2010 (UTC)

It seems that the word knotty is not being found by your examples? Is it missing from your dictionary, or is your algorithm wrong? --Paddy3118 11:58, 27 November 2010 (UTC)

Summary text[edit]

Hi again. Thanks for your continued additions to the site. It is valued.

I noted that in one of your additions, you didn't provide an edit summary, so would just like to point out that when in editing mode for a page, there is an input field below the large edit window labelled Summary. The Summary box usually starts with the section header (if you are editing a section) within '/* ' and ' */'. Normally you should add/change this Summary field to give a short summary of what your edits is doing/for. If you look at the recent changes page, you can get an idea of how best to use the field, but the goal is to have Summaries for all edits.

Thanks again, --Paddy3118 04:12, 1 December 2010 (UTC)

<lang>-tag for C++[edit]

Hi, you should use "cpp" as the language name for C++ inside the <lang>-tag, i.e. <lang cpp>. Otherwise the syntax highlighting won't work. --Andreas Perstinger (talk) 20:15, 10 May 2014 (UTC)
