Talk:Elevator simulation

From Rosetta Code

I've added some refs to the internet which explain The Elevator Game and rules. Further explanation in the task description as to how to turn these into a computer program is required--Nigel Galloway (talk) 15:17, 24 August 2021 (UTC)

I think I'll stick with Calmosoft's relatively harmless version of the game! Not that it is a game, just a simulation of an elevator going up and down at the behest of passengers. --PureFox (talk) 17:05, 24 August 2021 (UTC)

I am still confused. Is the task to construct a diagram of an elevator position that changes based on input to a graphic of an elevator control keypad? Or is the object to have the player key in the urban horror legend's magic sequence correctly? --Wherrera (talk) 23:07, 24 August 2021 (UTC)

I’m 99% sure it’s the former. There’s nothing in the Ring code or video to suggest otherwise. Calmosoft should have called the task Elevator Simulation to avoid any confusion because that’s what it really is. --PureFox (talk) 23:53, 24 August 2021 (UTC)
+1 on the rename --Pete Lomax (talk) 01:35, 27 August 2021 (UTC)
+1 Perhaps rename it Elevator TINAG--Nigel Galloway (talk) 15:20, 27 August 2021 (UTC)

I renamed this task Evelator simulation--CalmoSoft (talk) 04:54, 29 August 2021 (UTC)

Good, I've removed the references to Elevator Game from the main page now it's clear they are no longer relevant. --PureFox (talk) 08:50, 29 August 2021 (UTC)
